The article that I found was great at explaining every part of my question. My topic is centered around organic food production and what that means. It was convenient this article started off by explaining what organic food is defined as, then transitioned into its purpose, origins of organic farming, statistics on the organic market, and more. The quote I chose defines organic food which is sometimes not fully understood by consumers. The article states that “organic food is grown and produced using natural practices and avoiding chemicals that can remain on food or harm the environment.” The first part of my research question is focused on purely on finding a true understanding of what it means for a product to meet the qualifications for an organic seal and this definition hit the nail on the head. The rest of the article was packed with great information that will be useful as I continue my research.
